Do you handle both design and construction?
Yes. Valerie is a professional interior designer with a CIDA/NCIDQ-accredited degree from NDSU. Rick is a licensed Minnesota general contractor (BC807593). You get both under one roof. No coordinating two separate companies.
How much does interior design cost?
Color consultations start at $300. Interior design and room refresh services are $95/hour. A typical consultation runs 5-7 hours ($475-$665). Full implementation (where Valerie manages all trades and purchasing) runs 8-12 hours ($760-$1,140), not including materials and furniture.
How much do construction services cost?
Construction pricing depends on scope and materials. Kitchen remodels typically range $15,000-$80,000+. Bathroom remodels run $8,000-$35,000+. Basement finishing runs approximately $25-$50/sq ft. Contact us for a project-specific estimate. We provide written estimates before any work begins.
What areas of Central Minnesota do you serve?
We're based in Saint Joseph, MN and serve Saint Joseph, St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Waite Park, Cold Spring, and surrounding Central Minnesota communities. A mileage fee applies for design services at locations more than 10 miles from Saint Joseph.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes. Valerie and Rick work on both residential and commercial spaces: offices, retail environments, rental properties, and more.
Do you handle permits?
Yes. Rick holds MN General Contractor License BC807593 and manages all required permits for construction projects.
What is a Certified True Colour Expert?
True Colour Experts are trained to identify undertones in paint colors and understand how light, flooring, and furnishings affect how a color reads in a specific room. Valerie holds this certification and uses it in every color consultation.
Can you work with my existing builder or contractor?
Yes. Valerie can work alongside your existing builder as a design consultant and advocate: managing selections and decisions while your contractor manages construction.
How long have you been in business?
Valerie has 20+ years in interior design and project management. Rick has 10+ years in remodeling and project management, including renovating and selling 17 project homes in Central Minnesota in the past seven years. 30+ years combined.
