Privacy Policy

Simply Enhanced Homes is a small, family-run remodeling and design business owned by Valerie and Rick Zabloski in Saint Joseph, Minnesota. This page explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we only use what you send us to answer your questions and plan your project, and we never sell it.

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, town, the service you're interested in, and your message. If you call, text, or email us, we receive whatever you choose to share, such as your address or photos of your space.

Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read, and whether they called or contacted us. It sets a cookie in your browser and reports to Google. We don't use it for advertising, we have Google's advertising features turned off, and we can't identify you personally from it. Most browsers let you block these cookies, and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on blocks it everywhere.

We also use PostHog to count visits anonymously: which pages are read, where visitors came from (for example, a link on our Instagram), and whether they called, emailed, or sent the contact form. It doesn't set cookies or store anything in your browser, doesn't record your screen, and doesn't build a profile of you. It only counts what happened during a visit, and never receives what you type into the contact form.

Beyond that, this website doesn't use advertising trackers. Like nearly every website, the services that deliver our pages keep basic technical records, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These records are used for security, to keep the site running, and for overall visit counts.

How we use your information

• To plan, price, and carry out work you hire us to do
• To send you project updates, invoices, and follow-up questions
• To keep records we need for our business, taxes, and licensing

We don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don't use it for anyone else's marketing.

Services that help run this website

We rely on a few outside services. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

• Objective Labs Portal receives contact form inquiries and sends us an email notification for each one.
• Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form from spam and abuse.
• Google Workspace hosts our business email.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and protects it from abuse.
• Google Fonts provides the typefaces used on these pages.
• Google Analytics reports how the site is used, as described above.
• PostHog counts visits anonymously and without cookies, as described above.
• Google Maps loads on our contact page only if you choose to show the map.

Links to Google, Facebook, Instagram, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.

Photos of your home

We only publish photos of a client's home, or share their review, with the client's permission. We use first names and towns only, never street addresses, and we remove location data from photos before they go on the website.

How long we keep information

Inquiries that don't turn into a project are kept only as long as they're useful for following up. Records for projects we complete are kept as long as needed for warranty, tax, and legal purposes.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, unless we're required to keep it. Just email or call us using the details below.

Children

This website is meant for adults planning home projects. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
