Design Service — Central Minnesota
Renovation Project Coordination
We run the project so you don't have to. Scheduling, contractor management, selections, and communication — all handled.
Renovation projects involve many moving parts — contractors who need to show up in the right order, materials that need to be selected and ordered on time, decisions that need to be made before work can proceed. Most homeowners don't realize how much project management a renovation requires until they're in the middle of one.
Valerie and Rick handle that. You tell us what you want. We make it happen, communicating clearly at every step without overwhelming you with details you don't need.
What Coordination Includes
- Contractor scheduling and sequencing
- Material selection, ordering, and delivery coordination
- Regular status updates to homeowner
- On-site visits to oversee work quality
- Problem-solving when unexpected issues arise
- Final walkthrough and punch-list management
How We Work
This is the same design-first, one-team approach behind every project we take on — just offered on its own. Valerie's design work (or your existing plans, if you already have them) sets the sequence: what has to happen first, what materials need long lead times ordered early, and what decisions need to be locked in before a trade specialist shows up. Rick, as a licensed Minnesota General Contractor (BC807593), manages that sequence in the field — scheduling the electricians, plumbers, tile setters, and other specialists a project needs, and keeping them moving in the right order so no one is standing around waiting on someone else.
You get one point of contact for the whole project instead of coordinating each trade yourself. When something unexpected comes up — and something usually does — we handle it and let you know what changed, rather than leaving you to track down answers.
Who This Is For
Coordination is for homeowners who don't have the time, or don't want to spend their time, managing a renovation's logistics — tracking deliveries, being on-site for every decision, and chasing down contractors for updates. It's available as a standalone service, and Valerie can also serve as design coordinator alongside a contractor you've already hired, managing selections and design decisions while they manage construction. It's the same hands-on project management we bring to our own project houses throughout Central Minnesota, available for your project too.

What does project coordination include?
Scheduling contractors, overseeing selections, managing communication with trades, and ensuring the project stays on track. You don't have to be the project manager — we are.
Can I hire you to coordinate if I have my own contractor?
Yes. Valerie can serve as design coordinator alongside your contractor — managing design decisions and selections while your contractor manages construction.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Saint Joseph, St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Waite Park, Cold Spring, and Central Minnesota.
Who is renovation coordination for?
Homeowners who don't have time to chase down contractors, track deliveries, or be on-site for every decision — and who would rather hand off the logistics to people who do it full time.
Do you coordinate projects you didn't design?
Yes. Coordination is available even on projects Valerie didn't design — we can step in to manage scheduling, trades, and selections on a renovation that's already planned or underway.
