Remediation and rebuilding are two different jobs that most homeowners end up hiring two separate companies to solve — a remediation crew that removes damaged material and treats the mold, and a separate contractor to put the room back together. We handle both under one contract. Rick starts by identifying the moisture source, because treating mold without fixing what caused it just means treating it again later. Once the source is addressed and damaged drywall, insulation, and flooring are removed, the space is treated and a moisture barrier is installed where needed.

From there, the project becomes a rebuild, and that's where Valerie's design work comes in. Instead of a purely functional patch job, the affected space gets new drywall texture-matched to the surrounding walls, flooring that fits the room, and finishes selected the same way they would be on any renovation. Rick manages the trade specialists — electricians, plumbers, flooring installers — needed to bring the space back fully.
